Korean band DAY6 is said by fans and casual listeners alike to not have a single song worth skipping in their entire discography. On July 15th the band continued their no-bad-songs streak with the release of their 5th mini album, titled The Book of Us: Gravity, which delivers bright pop rock tunes about the dynamics of relationships. In addition to the music, the band also put out a playful, technicolor music video to suit the upbeat title track, Time of Our Life.
Shortly after release, the title track reached the top position of both the Bugs and Naver music charts in South Korea, a first for the band.
During their second week of promotions for Time of Our Life, DAY6 hit another milestone when they received their first music show win on MBC’s Show Champion. The members were seen accepting the trophy in a pre-recorded clip aired at the end of a Show Champion special broadcast on Wednesday, July 24th.
Within 20 minutes after the broadcast, the hashtag #DAY61stWin was the #1 worldwide trend on Twitter as fans around the world celebrated the win and congratulated the band.

The win comes exactly four years to the day after DAY6’s first predebut performance, where they played as the opening act for Korean indie rock band Sugarbowl in the small Seoul club Freebird 2. Currently, DAY6 is set to kickoff their second world tour in August 2019 with three consecutive sold out concerts in Jamsil Indoor Stadium, a venue in Seoul that seats over 11,000 people.
